  5. Nagging Neck Pain Boomerangs Back: Part 2 (of 2)

Your neck’s killing you. Still. No lasting relief. You’re at your wit’s end.
Pain killers, muscle relaxers help—a little. For a while. But then
it’s BACK! Holding you hostage.

In Part 1, we explored neck pain and stiffness, possible root
causes of neck pain, related areas of pain, and a viable solution:

Chiropractic.

Whether you’ve tried chiropractic or not, it’s worth considering
(or reconsidering). When people first come to me for help, I often
hear, “I’m in so much pain that I’ll try anything—even
a chiropractor.”

Before desperation sets in, take a deep breath, boldly step out of
your comfort zone (not that you’re comfortable right now) and give
chiropractic care a try.

So, What’s Stopping YOU From Trying Chiropractic?

Despite weeks, even years, of suffering from neck pain, ricocheting
from one dead end to another, you’re still not so sure about
trying chiropractic care.

What’s holding YOU back?

  • Lack of knowledge.

Maybe you’ve never heard of chiropractors. If chiropractic isn’t
on your radar, then you have no idea that a chiropractor may be
the ticket to freedom—freedom from your neck pain. [click here]

  • Skepticism.

Perhaps you’ve heard of chiropractors but have never seen
a chiropractor yourself. You’ve heard mixed reviews.

You can’t help but be skeptical.

Adding to your doubts, your MD, knowing how much pain
you’re in, never mentioned chiropractic, nor did you have the
    courage to ask. [click here]

Chiropractic, separate and distinct from all other medical and
healthcare practices, offers unique, non-invasive, often permanent
solutions to muscular skeletal pain—neck pain, as well as headaches,
lower back pain, middle back pain, and related areas.

  • Prejudice.

To the detriment of people suffering from these common aches
and pains, our culture reinforces the ignorance of and, worse,
    the prejudice against chiropractic.

In fact, in the 1980s, in the Wilk v. American Medical Association
lawsuit, a small group of Doctors of Chiropractic victoriously sued
the American Medical Association (AMA) for its systematic campaign
    to crush chiropractic.

It was a long, brave, David v. Goliath battle, little known to most folks.

Fast forward to 2023. Despite the nay-sayers, big pharma, and the
all-powerful AMA, the drugless, healthcare profession of chiropractic
thrives, offering folks the pain relief that eludes them!

All deeply conditioned, cultural prejudices die a very slow death,
including prejudice against the healthcare profession of chiropractic.

However, FEELING the chiropractic difference
for yourself is a GAME CHANGER.

When you experience the pain-to-no-pain chiropractic
phenomenon,
skepticism and prejudice vanish.
Poof! Gone!

Prejudice replaced by clear thinking and gratitude.

  • Fear.

Maybe you’re scared of seeing a chiropractor. Maybe you’ve heard it hurts.
You can’t stand the thought of someone touching your neck much less doing
what chiropractors do (whatever that is). [click here to find out.]

You’ve heard “those stories.” I hear them too. However, witnessing the
benefits of chiropractic every day in my practice TRUMPS the nay-sayers
    and fear mongers.

Do your research. There are lots of chiropractors with different methods
of adjusting. Some may be perfectly right for you and your problem. [click here]

  • Unpleasant Chiropractic Experience.

Maybe you’ve been to a chiropractor and the adjustments were painful or
you felt the chiropractor hurt you. Unfortunately, as with any healthcare
profession, objectionable experiences can and do happen. I am sorry.

However, just because it didn’t work out with one chiropractor, doesn’t
mean that another chiropractor can’t be your saving grace from pain.

Interesting observation. When we’re unhappy with one dentist, MD,
physical therapist, optometrist, dermatologist, orthopedic, or nurse
    practitioner, we find another.

    No hesitation whatsoever.

However, one chiropractor, one unpleasant experience, and WHAM!
The door slams shut to chiropractic. Forever!

No two chiropractors are alike. Plain and simple.

The chiropractor just right for you could be right

    around the corner. [click here]
  • Indecision.

You think you’d like to see a chiropractor but have no idea whom to go to or how
    to find one.

So, rather than actively seeking the best chiropractor for you, you choose the path
of least resistance: don’t go at all.

Clinging to the hope that you’ll get better on your own.

  • Procrastination.

You’ve made the decision. Leapt over all obstacles, real and imagined.

Chiropractic is your next step. Your friend gave you a very encouraging referral.
Even better, two friends suggested the same doctor.

But you just haven’t gotten around to it. I get that! We all put things off.
Life gets in our way. So do our minds.

However, when it comes to your comfort, health, and your very life,
    procrastination is not your friend.

Common sense says: the longer you wait, the worse it could get, and the
longer it could take to get better.

Kick procrastination to the curb and “just do it.” Like NOW.

    Call that chiropractor of choice.

  • Cost.

Yes, of course, chiropractic care, like all services, cost money.

But, what’s the high cost of neck pain that doesn’t get better?

Cost to your work, comfort, mobility, activities, health, and your
    relationships?

What’s the cost to your family when they see you suffering
    for way too long?

What’s the cost of losing your quality of life if
your pain persists, or worse, goes from bad to worse?

Easing the Angst

Maybe I can help ease fears or bash through those barriers,
preventing you from seeking chiropractic care.

=> Research: Check out these studies substantiating the effectiveness of chiropractic
adjustments for neck pain, lower back pain, and headaches. [click here]
[click here] [click here] [click here] [click here] [click here]

=> Referral: Get a sound referral from someone you know and trust.

Ask them about the procedures used to adjust the spine and about the
results.

Ask them what they like about their chiropractor and what they
DON’T like about their chiropractor.

=> Read: my web site and other chiropractors’ websites. Gather as
much information as you can about chiropractic. Write down questions
and concerns.

Seek a chiropractor who listens, answers questions, satisfies your
concerns, and walks you through their procedures with simple explanations.

=> Review testimonials: Be discerning. Do any of the testimonials
resonate with you? Do they give you hope? Answers?

=> Reach out to a chiropractor for a consultation. Preferably free of charge.
Sit down with the chiropractor. Ask 4 basic questions:

1. Can you help me?

2. How long will it take to feel a noticeable difference?

3. How much does it cost?

4. Will it hurt?

If you’re comfortable, go forward with that chiropractor.

What if . . . a Chiropractor Could Help You?

What if . . . that long-forgotten car crash, sprained ankle, or childhood
fall set the wheels in motion for today’s neck pain and stiffness?

What if . . . the bones in your neck got jammed up sometime in your
past (known or unknown), and a handful of gentle chiropractic adjustments
could reduce your pain and stiffness?

What if . . . lasting freedom from neck pain is as simple as taking one
bold step into the competent, caring hands of a chiropractor?

What if . . . your neck pain and suffering could
end–as soon as tomorrow?

Just one step.

Go. For. It.
